Born and raised in the metropolis of Bashaw, Alberta, Carissa made the long journey to the big city of Camrose in early 2001, where she currently resides. She had a little girl in 2004 and completed her family with a little boy in 2007. Carissa has worked locally as a Health Care Aide since 2005.
Carissa decided she wanted to become a massage therapist at the age of 14. After 27 years, she hoping she didn’t rush into things, and she graduated from Alberta Institute of Massage, with honors in all courses, in the summer of 2020.
Carissa’s class mates voted and she won the “Fellow Student” award in 2019. Carissa’s friends and family have described her as funny, determined, intuitive, caring, insightful, resourceful, courageous, compassionate, efficient, adaptable, dedicated, loving, and loyal
She describes herself as sarcastic. Her favorite thing to do is laugh and make people laugh. Along with spending time with family some of her interests include hiking, reading, puzzles and crocheting.
Carissa is excited to be a part of the Martinson Health team and to foster wellness and care for her clients. Hours are flexible to accommodate some evenings and weekends. Please call/text or visit the booking site for available days and times.
